Federal grand jury charges Jax man in Peoria sting
Fifty-five year old Donald Fisher of the Rolling Acres Mobile Home Estates is charged with attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.
The charge was handed down yesterday by the federal grand jury, stemming from Fisher’s July 20th arrest in Peoria. Fisher waived his right to preliminary and detention hearings at the Peoria courthouse Tuesday. U.S Magistrate Judge John Gorman ordered Fisher detained by U.S. Marshals.
Fisher was picked up during what he thought was a sexually-charged rendezvous with a 15-year-old girl and her mother in Peoria.
According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court last week, Fisher had been chatting online with authorities posing as a 42-year-old Peoria woman and her 15-year-old daughter since October 2009.
The conversations took place several times between October and mid-July, and Fisher sent nude pictures and video of himself to authorities on multiple occasions.
He’s facing 10 years to life in prison if convicted.
